Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating Class 8 triaxle dump trucks, tractors with PTO systems, dump trailers and tanker trailers with a focus on training drivers to operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions for new and existing drivers on safe driving practices, vehicle operation, and company policies
- Provide hands-on instruction for operating commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and specialty vocational trucks (water trucks, tack trucks)
- Develop training materials and resources to support driver education programs
- Assess driver performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Monitor driver compliance with regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with management to enhance training programs and curriculum
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years driving experience with Class 8 dump trucks, tractors and trailers
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and operation
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train and communicate with drivers
- Prioritize working safe and looking out for the safety of others at all times
- Pay per hour will be commensurate with experience
- Company vehicle with fuel and tolls provided for company use
